Hi April,
I was told I could use Otrivin whilst breatfeeding but the doctor recommended that I use it after I breastfed instead of before, just to minimise any risk to Zach. That stuff is a godsend!

Your pediatricians office sounds great! What a great idea. I try not to let Zach play with toys at the doctors office. It would be so much easier if there was a healthy room where he could play with them.

Get better soon.

I know it isn't always realistic, but people should really stay home when they are sick. I actually wore one of those sexy masks when I knew I had pneumonia and was traveling home from the doc on the bus. This had an unforeseen benefit of not having to share my seat on the bus. Score. I should wear one more often.

Sinead: That's terrible. Our pediatricians office has a great policy, they have separate waiting rooms for sick and well patients. That way we don't have to worry about cross contamination so much. I broke down and used some nasal spray that should be safe, mainly because I could not breathe through my nose at all, which makes sleeping tricky!

I hear you! When I had to take Zach to the Doctors for his 8 week check up this lady who was coughing and spluttering all over the place came up to Zach in his pram and started smiling and playing with him. I politely told her that I didn't want her to touch him as she was obviously sick and he wasn't. She was well unimpressed, but at least I went home with a healthy child. I mean, hello honey! you are at the doctors because you are sick, don't touch my kid!
