Wordless Wednesday: Spring in Berkeley
Or nearly wordless. In the afternoon I like to take Jocelyn for walks, she takes a nice nap in the carrier as I walk around. Last week I decided to take the camera along. Since I’ve got a small human strapped to my chest, I can’t always get the best shots. I’m a macro kinda gal especially when it comes to flowers, but it’s not so easy with a baby making squatting nearly impossible. I tell you this just to justify why these images aren’t necessarily great in terms of composition, and I don’t have time to do any photoshop tweaking, with a baby and in-laws coming into town this will have to do. As you look at these, try to imagine the smell of fragrant blooms and freshly mowed grass.
More about Wordless Wednesday here.
Nice! Plants are starting to bloom in Missouri, but not nearly as much! Kyle would love these photos. He’s doing some baby signs now – the sign for flower is sniffing – so whenever he sees a flower he starts sniffing like crazy. It’s so funny!
Looks delightfully springy! I miss carrying Zach strapped to my chest. Looking forward to doing that with the new one!
Amy: You wouldn’t believe the fauna here. There’s so much stuff growing in my neighbors garden that I’ve never seen anything similar to before moving here. It’s pretty fun just to walk around the neighborhood.
A Free Man: For some reason your comment got filtered into the Spam, if you’ve made other comments that didn’t show up recently, they could have gotten deleted. We get usually 100 or so spams a day and I don’t usually look through all of them. Just wanted to apologize if anything got missed.
I really like the carriers, it’s so sweet when she falls asleep with her little face pressed against me.
Amy: I forgot to mention I want to get Jocelyn into a baby sign class too!
We used the book “Baby Signs” for ideas and didn’t try too hard, but Kyle’s started to pick them up the last several months. Dog was first – he sticks out his tounge and pants whenever he sees or hears one. Then cat – he made up this one – he takes his hand and scratches at the ground. We wonder if he got that from seeing Nana and Papa’s cat Chester using the litter box.
. He sniffs for flowers and now flaps his wings for birds. He puts his hands together for “more” once in awhile and opens and closes his mouth for eat. It’s fun and he’s so happy to be able to communicate with us.
Happy spring! It’s supposed to snow 1-6 inches here tomorrow! :-0
Looking at the pictures of the flowers reminded me of the walks we took through those same street. It was as if I on the walk again. Winter is still hanging around in Nebraska. It is 32 degrees with 30 mph winds. I can’t hardly wait for green things.
