If you want to wander down my road I’m home.
Aw…..she is so sweet.
Wishing you and yours a beautiful day….
Does she not like baths? Zach loves them! Won’t get out of the bath!
A Free Man: She doesn’t hate baths, she hates having her hair rinsed, but won’t tip her head back to avoid it. She kind of likes playing in the water and splashing now, but doesn’t like having her hair washed because of the face/water issue. She’s actually kind of sensitive about things constricting her face or head, like hats and putting on shirts.
We went through the same issue with Kyle. At first I used a special bath hat made to shield eyes and face from water – then he decided he didn’t like the hat. We finally both learned what works for us. I hold a wash cloth scrunched over his forehead as a shield, then tap the center of his back with the cup – that’s his signal to tilt his head back. I count out loud as I rinse with 3 cupfuls of water, then tell him good job and he claps. Works great for us 95% of the time now. I think both of you just have to figure out what works.
By the way, she is so cute!!
Amy: Thanks for the tip, I’ll try the washcloth thing for sure, she might be a little young for the signal, but we’ll get there! I’ve thought about those hats, but right now she hates hats, so I think it would be just one more struggle.
